iPods
Classic, Video, mini, nano, shuffle and touch. The battery usually goes first, and we can swap the old hard drive for microSD while we're in there.
MP3 / MP4 players
Creative Zen, iRiver, SanDisk Sansa, Zune and the rest. Charging faults, dead jacks, faded screens and firmware that won't boot.
Handheld consoles
PSP, Game Boy, GBA, DS and 3DS, PS Vita and Game Gear. Screens, sticky buttons, D-pads, shells and custom firmware.
Mobile phones
Nokia 3310 and 1100, Motorola Razr, Sony Ericsson, BlackBerry. Displays, backlights, keypads, housings and firmware.
What usually goes wrong, and how we bring it back.
New battery
If it dies within an hour, or won't turn on at all, the battery is the likely cause. We fit new cells, and bigger ones where they fit.
Storage upgrade
Old iPod hard drives click, skip and eventually fail. We swap them for microSD, which is silent, faster, and holds a lot more music.
Screen replacement
Cracked, faded or full of dead pixels. Colour, mono, LCD or OLED. We replace it and test it with the device fully put back together.
New shell or housing
Scratched to bits? We refurbish and polish, or rehouse it in a shell that looks like the original.
Buttons, click wheels and D-pads
For controls that stick, skip, drift, or only work if you press really hard.
Charging ports and jacks
Loose cables, crackly audio, or a port that only charges at one angle.
Firmware and software
Recovery for devices stuck on boot, custom firmware for handhelds, and sync setup so your iPod works with your computer again.
